The photo series was taken in August 2020, actually the highlight of every season in Ibiza. But this time it was different. Already the arrival at the airport, its emptiness and lack of liveliness. The deserted harbour, where the rich and beautiful usually line up their yachts. The clubs, cathedrals of hedonistic celebration culture a year ago, stand in the summer sun, the grass grows out of the asphalt cracks and the dry sea grass piles up on the dance floors.

But the biggest difference is this strange calm. Where the island was once submerged in electronic beats day and night, an oppressive silence has now returned, overshadowing everything.
